Michael M. Byczek has compiled a list of the Old Settlers Club for Chicago. William Rooney is his great-great-grandfather. The family dates back to 1835 in Chicago according to the historical record.

The membership directory is from Discovery and Conquests of the North-West with the History of Chicago by Rufus Blanchard (1881). The illustration of the Calumet Club is from History of Chicago by Alfred Theodore Andreas (1886).
